Application for a Parish Flagpole

The Parish Council has applied to NNC for planning consent for a flagpole at the Village Hall, for the flying of ceremonial flags on appropriate civic occasions.

It will have an internal halyard, eliminating the noise often caused by the halyard hitting the pole in the wind.

New innovation site at the CRE Park granted

Site plan of new industrial estate

The ENC Planning Management Committee voted 7-4 in favour of the site at the meeting held on Thursday 12th November.

Several committee members spoke regarding their concerns regarding traffic on the local roads. It will now be for Northants Highways and the developer to agree what traffic mitigation measures need to be put in place.

CRE Industrial Estate - ENC consultation letter error.

The Parish Council has been contacted by residents concerned about a consultation letter issued by the ENC planning department which indicates there is an application for an industrial estate off Bidwell Lane in Caldecott. This is incorrect, as the application site is at the south end of the CRE Park, adjacent to Chelston Rise. There is no development planned in Bidwell Lane.

Planning application for an industrial park near Chelston Rise

The Parish Council has been advised of a planning application to build 120 dwellings in Higham Ferrers on a brownfield site, and relocate the existing employment from there to a new site, to be known as the Chelveston Energy Innovation Park (CEIP) near to Chelston Rise. The location is shown on the image.
