Western Power Distribution (WPD) have installed a new overhead power line to Lamp 34 in Bidwell Lane, after the original feed was disconnected approx. two weeks earlier for a new development.

Speed Indicator Devices now deployed

Speed Indicator Devices now deployed

The Parish Council has purchased three Speed Indicator Devices (SIDs) from TWM Traffic Controls, which can be installed at various Northants Highways approved locations within the 30 mph zone in the parish. The SIDs are fitted with data recorders.

The purchase was made possible with the aid of a 75% grant from the Michael and Christine Foulger Trust.

Community Speed Watch Results

Community Speed Watch Results

Following the recent use of Community Speed Watch (CSW) equipment by local residents, the results (as measured by the Northants Police Safer Roads Team) show a fall in speeding vehicles on the Raunds Road.

At 30 mph the number of speeding vehicles drops from 80% to 61%, which is 6,000 instances less.

At 35 mph the number of speeding vehicles drops from 43% to 30%, which is 4,000 instances less.

2819 Light Anti Aircraft Squadron, RAF regiment was formed as 819 Defence Squadron at RAF Chelveston in September 1941.

305th Air Mobility Wing honours the 305th BG(H)

The 305th Air Mobility Wing, from McGuire AFB, NJ, laid a wreath to honour the 305th BG (H) at the Parish Church on Sunday 26th May.

Lt Col David LeRoy, the Wing Deputy Commander, laid the wreath with Airman First Class Bolden.
