Planning application for an industrial park near Chelston Rise

The Parish Council has been advised of a planning application to build 120 dwellings in Higham Ferrers on a brownfield site, and relocate the existing employment from there to a new site, to be known as the Chelveston Energy Innovation Park (CEIP) near to Chelston Rise. The location is shown on the image.

Public Appeal launched to restore the Cross of Sorrow (1920-20)

Public Appeal launched to restore the Cross of Sorrow (1920-20)

The Parish Council has today (9th December 2019) formally launched a public appeal to restore the Cross of Sorrow memorial erected by public subscription in 1920 in memory of the fallen in the Great War, and, subsequently, World War II.

Anglian Water are intending on installing a new water connection to St John the Baptist Church on Caldecott Road in Chelveston. It is expected that the road will be closed from the 13 to 15 January 2020.
