The 305th AMW present a Guidon to the Parish

305th AMW airmen & airwomen

A detachment from the 305th Air Mobility Wing led by Col Elizabeth Hanson and CMSgt Kolcun presented a Guidon (a unit colour) to the parish at a service at St Johns. The Guidon was received by Rev Paul Needle.

A wreath was laid at the tower memorial to the WW2 305th Bombardment Group (Heavy) that flew from RAF Chelveston 80 years ago.

Annual Parish Assembly 2023

Annual Parish Assembly sign

The annual meeting of electors in the parish will be held in the Village Hall at 7:30pm on Mon 22nd May.

You can hear what the Parish Council did over the year, see the draft accounts, check on the progress of the NDP, and elect a Trustee to the Chelveston Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund Trust for 2023-27.

The Cherry Tree gets decorated for the Coronation!

The Council's Events Team have been decorating the cherry tree on the triangular green ready for the Coronation weekend.

Come and bring your picnic on Sunday to the paddock behind the Village Hall (2-4 pm) - indoors if wet!

The new Water Lane Footbridge in place

New footbridge in place

The new footbridge installed in Water Lane this week, by Northants Highways contractor, Bridge and Highway Maintenance Ltd.

The bridge is made of recycled plastic, using 980 500ml bottles!

Water Lane - Road Closed 24 - 27th April

Water Lane will be closed from 24th - 27th April whilst Northants Highways replace the broken footbridge.

Access to Water Lane will be provided to residents/businesses

Welcome Spring event at the churchyard

This afternoon our Environment Team held a "Welcome Spring" event in St John's churchyard, with puzzles, crafts, plants, lamb feeding (courtesy of Lancaster Farm) and finishing off with a village litter pick.
