Nature Reserves
The only designated wildlife area in the parish is the Protected Wildflower Verge (PWV), formerly a Local Wildlife Site (LWS), known as Caldecott Verges. It is located on the road between Caldecott and Chelston Rise. This protected verge is identified by marker posts at either end.
The site was first surveyed in 1979 and was designated as a LWS when re-surveyed in December 1990. When re-surveyed in August 2006 it was re-designated as a PWV.
