Footpaths (Rights of Way)
Footpaths are the rights of way (usually across private land) that run through the countryside between villages and other places. There are 16 footpaths in the parish. There is a link to the NNC interactive mapping site below.
The footpaths & bridleways are maintained by NNC Rights of Way Dept, who are advised by the local Parish Path Warden, Mr Ray Dyer, of any problems. All footpaths and bridleways are waymarked either by a green signpost (sometimes called finger posts) or a white disk with an arrow.
The Parish Council monitors the public footpaths & bridleways for the NNC Rights of Way team and has the power of veto on possible "Stopping Up" orders.

Right of Way diversion consultation
December 2014: The Highways Rights of Way Team are consulting on behalf of both Beds and Northants to consider a request from Chelveston Renewable Energy Ltd to relocate a bridleway that runs along the north-south access road (the former taxiway) to the east of the road, so as to separate ROW users from HGV traffic.
