Local Government Election - Thursday 1st May 2025

You could become a Councillor!
Do you think you could make a difference in your local community? Join the Parish Council and have your say whilst representing the residents.
If more than 7 people nominate themselves for Chelveston-cum-Caldecott Parish Council, it will become contested, meaning that the residents of the parish (that are registered to vote before Friday 11th April 2025) will be able to vote for their local representatives. If 7 or less people nominate themselves, there will be no Poll (voting) and the election will be uncontested, meaning all individuals nominated will get a seat on the Council.
How much of my time will be required?
You will be required to attend one Parish Council meeting per month (except August). These take place on the second Monday of the month in the Village Hall, starting at 7:30pm and usually finishing before 9:00pm.
If you join a working party or become a representative of the Council to another body, such as a charity, you will also be expected to attend their meetings as well.
